Research interest
I am a bioinformatician with a strong focus on conservation genomics and population genetics. My research revolves around non-model organisms, which are often central to conservation efforts. I am particularly interested in unraveling the genetic structure within and between species, identifying potential hybridization events, and examining the relationship between genetic diversity metrics and geographic distribution, which helps to uncover the demographic history of populations. This insight is essential for guiding effective conservation strategies. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Pereira's lab, where I am working on the Arion slugs project.
